The MIT Enterprise Forum® of South Florida is run by an all-volunteer group. Each one of us volunteered in order to contribute to expanding the entrepreneurship spirit in the South Florida Community, meet a lot of interesting people and have fun. You don’t have to be an MIT alumnus to be part of our team.
What is the organizational structure of the MIT Enterprise Forum?
A volunteer board of experienced entrepreneurs, corporate executives, university professors and industry leaders runs the South Florida organization, which was founded in the year 2003. (An organization chart is available on request.) Our parent organization is the MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc., located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We are also affiliated with the MIT Alumni/ae Clubs of Palm Beach and South Florida.
What are the requirements for becoming a volunteer?
Volunteers must be residents of the South Florida community interested in entrepreneurship, willing to fill out a volunteer form and provide a bio or a CV, and commit to at least two hours a week to work on Forum activities. Volunteer automatically becomes a member without paying a membership fee.
