Mr. Elderkin, founded Athenian Venture Partners in 1997 and serves as its Managing Partner. He has 23 years of venture capital experience in IT and the life sciences. Prior to his venture capital career, he spent 7 years in engineering, manufacturing, capital investments and strategy management consulting.

From 1989 until founding Athenian, he was co-head of Generics Asset Management (GAM), the London-based venture capital arm of Generics Group, PLC., a technology strategy consulting organization located in Cambridge, UK. Prior to that, Mr. Elderkin was with Texas Instruments in Attleboro, Massachusetts where he worked as a manufacturing engineer and capital investments manager. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with international studies at London Business School.
