Jose A. Hernandez-Solaun is President of the Hernandez-Solaun Foundation, an organization who’s mission is to help empower our youth through various educational workshops. Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and personal branding are a few of the basic skills the foundation fosters with young adults.

Jose works for General Electric (GE), as Vice President of GE Capital. Jose works closely with C-level executives of mid-market companies to facilitate their financing needs. As the “face of GE Capital” in the region, he specializes in equipment backed leases and loans, real estate, corporate aircrafts, fleet services, and IT leasing. . He is also an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Miami, where he judges the Business Plan Competition, mentors students in entrepreneurship, and is a venture coach at The Launchpad.

Previously, Jose was the Founder and President of Mango Consulting Group, LLC., a management consulting firm specializing in capital acquisition, corporate turnaround and restructure, salesforce effectiveness and business strategy.

Jose Antonio holds a BA in Entrepreneurship, Marketing and International Business from Florida International University. He received his MBA, in 2005, from the University of Miami. In December 2009, he graduated with an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jose is very active in the community. He is a mentor-coach for the Americas Venture Capital Conference and Incubate Miami. Member and contributor to Mango Green and Hands on Miami. Additionally, Jose serves on the boards of the MIT Enterprise Forum of South Florida, Hernandez-Solaun Foundation and the American Diabetes Association.
